Support the Purchase of a Disability-Compliant Van for GBV Survivors
This special campaign aims to raise funds for the purchase of a disability-compliant van that will provide dignified transportation for persons with disabilities (PWD), particularly those who are survivors of gender-based violence (GBV). PWD survivors face unique challenges when escaping abusive situations, such as mobility barriers and a lack of accessible transport. This van will address those challenges by offering a safe, comfortable, and accessible means of transport for individuals who rely on wheelchairs and other assistive devices.
The van will serve not only as a lifeline for emergency rescue but also for periodic clinic visits, seminars, and workshops, ensuring that survivors can access vital support services without additional obstacles. It will provide comfort, dignity, and the necessary mobility to those who need it most.
Why your Donation Matters
Donating to this campaign is a powerful way to support some of the most vulnerable members of our community. The specialized van will ensure that survivors of GBV receive urgent medical care, shelter, and legal assistance, all while respecting their dignity and ensuring their safety. Your contribution will have a life-changing impact, offering hope, protection, and a pathway to recovery for those escaping dangerous situations.
Together, we can break barriers, end the cycle of violence, and create a more inclusive and supportive society where no survivor is left behind.
Acquisition of this van will cost a total of Ksh. 8 million ($ 61,900)
